materialist complacency,
swarming to defeat desire,
milling about extinction.

no winner's rewards -
loss is the touchstone:
how much can be thrown,
gambled on snake eyes.

tomorrow is for losing,
deeper into the vortex,
spinning endlessly,
nothing for nothing

endless meaninglessness,
a gambler's paradise,
where nothing lives,
where everything spins.
